Keeping America safe one pump at a time.

“CDC recommends...using a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol can help you avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others.

The guidance for effective hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer in community settings was developed based on data from a number of studies.”

Why Hand Sanitizer is so important.

Alcohol has been used as an antiseptic at least as early as 1363 with evidence to support its use becoming available in the late 1800s.  Alcohol-based hand sanitizer has been commonly used in Europe since at least the 1980s.  The alcohol-based version is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system.

In celebration of heightened awareness regarding personal hygiene and the topical use of hand sanitizers, October 14th has been declared National Hand Sanitizer Day. The globally increased demand for this important step in safety has increased personal protective actions and protected millions of Americans in their efforts to protect themselves from potentially life-threatening diseases, viruses, and various other contagions.
